Matthew Allen, DDS

Matt is the CEO and co-founder of DifferentKind, a patient-focused platform that helps dental professionals measure and improve patient experience. A leading expert on person-centered care, motivational interviewing, and shared decision-making in dentistry, he has given over 100 talks to dental and medical professionals around the globe and has published 9 articles in peer-reviewed journals and other industry publications. He also serves as part-time faculty at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Mark E. Doherty, DDS, CAGS

Dr. Mark E. Doherty is co-founder and CEO of D4 Practice Solutions which is a dental consulting business. He is a partner in Southcoast Endodontics and owner of Commonwealth Mobile Oral Health Services (CMOHS), a portable dental practice. CMOHS provides comprehensive dentistry in over 300 locations throughout the state of Massachusetts to populations who face barriers to accessing dental care. As a dynamic dental specialist overseeing a multi-site private practice and extensive experience in operating a large portable dental practice for underserved populations, Dr. Doherty offers a multi-faceted level of expertise.

Zachary Brian, DMD, MHA

Dr. Zachary Brian is a dentist, oral health policy leader, teacher, and researcher striving for health equity through effective leadership and advocacy. He is a Kentucky native but lives in North Carolina serving as Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry in the Division of Pediatric & Public Health, where he also directs the Dentistry in Service to Community (DISC) program. At UNC, Dr. Brian is also developing equity-focused oral health policy initiatives to prepare the next generation of oral health care providers for engagement in policy advocacy.

Janet Hagerman, RDH, BSDH

As the Fractional CHO (Chief Hygiene Officer), Janet trains emerging DSOs to create a patient-centered hygiene department that is profitable, consistent, and scalable. An international speaker, author, and consultant, Janet is the author of numerous articles, webinars, and the signature books Selling Dentistry, Meetings Make Money, and Bloom.   A Medical College of Georgia graduate, Janet’s experience includes over 30 years of clinical and coaching experience with both solo and small to large group practices, and leadership as a DSO Director of Dental Hygiene, managing 100+ practices.  Janet’s specialty is to enrich, enliven and empower others.
