A leading expert on person-centered care, motivational interviewing, and shared decision-making in dentistry, he has given over 100 talks to dental and medical professionals around the globe and has published 9 articles in peer-reviewed journals and other industry publications. He also serves as part-time faculty at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

Nicolle von Helms is the Head of People Experience at The Dental Studio, a family dental practice in Wheaton, IL.  She brings her strong customer experience background in the event planning and non-profit sectors to the dental space.

Andrew Gordon, Chief Experience Officer - Open Door Family Dentistry

Andrew Gordon is a partner and Chief Experience Officer at Open Door Dental Group. As CXO he is responsible for the overall patient experience and assuring the highest level of patient care and brand management Before being named CXO, Andrew was Open Door’s Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for all the company’s operations and growth, including management of recruiting, analytics, and marketing.  Prior to joining Open Door Dental Group in 2014, Andrew was General Manager at Tucanos Brazilian Grill. Before his work at Tucanos, Andrew was the Vice President of Operations with Barbacoa Mexican Grill.  Andrew began his career with Hilton Hotels where he helped build, open, and manage Hilton Garden Inns in multiple states. Andrew lives in Grants Pass, Oregon with his wife Megan and their 4 children.
